Biography “Assistant Professor Numata holds a Master’s degree in Regional Policy Studies. He was born in Shibetsu City, Hokkaido. He completed the Master’s program in Regional Policy at Takasaki City University of Economics. Since 2011, he has been managing an educational NPO. Over the past 15 years, he has worked with more than 35,000 learners, including teenagers from Gunma, as well as staff, volunteers, donors, school teachers, local residents, and regional businesses, to implement inquiry-based learning and career education in Gunma Prefecture’s school system. He has served as an Education Commissioner for the Gunma Prefectural Board of Education, President of the Gunma Regional Development Council, and as an adjunct lecturer in subjects such as ‘Coaching’ and ‘Team Building’ at universities.
Introduction to Education and Practice Assistant Professor Numata has dedicated his efforts to the implementation of inquiry-based learning in school education, focusing on realizing the vision and mission of the educational NPO through various business activities. At CoSTEP, he aims to be a supportive companion, thinking together with the participants about science communication that begins with their questions.
