This intensive course explores diverse science communication practices as they have developed within different cultural and social contexts worldwide. As science and technology evolve, societal engagement varies across nations. Understanding these differences is essential for shaping effective and inclusive communication strategies. Focusing on the Asia-Pacific region, the course invites practitioners from Korea, Taiwan, and Australia to share experiences and insights on topics like artificial intelligence and environmental issues. Through lectures, discussions, and interactive workshops, participants will compare national approaches, identifying emerging perspectives and new directions for science communication. By fostering international networks, the course aims to deepen cross-cultural understanding and inspire innovative approaches in the years ahead.
この集中講義では、国や地域によって異なる文化的背景や社会構造のもとで展開されているサイエンスコミュニケーションの多様な姿を学び、その現状と課題を国際的な視点から考察します。科学技術の発展とともに、社会との関わり方や市民との対話のあり方は国によって異なり、それぞれの文脈を理解することが、今後の実践において重要です。本授業では、アジア地域を中心に、韓国、台湾、オーストラリアでサイエンスコミュニケーション活動に関わる実践者を招き、AIや環境問題など共通のトピックを軸に事例紹介とディスカッションを行います。講義に加えて、参加者同士のグループワークやワークショップを通じて、各国の共通点や相違点を比較しながら、新しいコミュニケーションの切り口や社会との関わり方を探ります。国際的なネットワークの構築を目指し、サイエンスコミュニケーションの現在を多面的に捉え、これからの時代における実践の方向性を考えることを目的とします。
